Config Account: 2.1 Additional Pay Type

Hello! Today we are going to set up Additional Pay Type settings. This Additional Pay Type setting is to allow more pay types like bonuses to be paid out. Let's start

From this topic onwards, it is a requirement that certain topics has to be done first before proceeding with the current topic. If you have not completed your Customer Onboarding directly from your Hex-HR homepage, please return to your Hex-HR homepage to complete your Customer Onboarding in ascending order.
Click on Settings -> expand the right menu and click on "Additional Pay Type". You'll be greeted with the page shown above.
There will be 3 tabs namely:
- Additional Pay Type Item
- Additional Pay Type Group
- Additional Pay Type Group Item
Let's go through them one by one.
Additional Pay Type Item
In this tab, we are going to define a single additional pay type item. Click on "Create" to start creating a new item. For the purpose of this tutorial, I'm going to put "BONUS" in item code. Click on "Confirm & Create" to save this item.
Additional Pay Type Group
In this tab, we are going to define a single additional pay type group. Click on "Create" to start creating a new group. For the purpose of this tutorial, I'm going to put "Employee Benefit" in the Group Code. Click on "Confirm & Create" to save this group.
Additional Pay Type Group Item
In this tab, we are going to add ALL of the Additional Pay Item into a single Additional Pay Type Group. Hence the tab's name of Additional Pay Type Group Item. Click on "Create" to start creating a new group item. Fill up the fields and check the appropriate checkboxes. Remember Config Account: 2.40 Tax Exemption that we have created a while ago? All of the tax exemptions will now be shown in this tab's Tax Exemption section. Check the appropriate checkboxes and once down, click on the "Confirm & Create" to create the group item.
